In 1928, Jacob Pasternak opened Dallas Cap & Emblem a one-room office in downtown Dallas, Texas. Rosalie Pasternak, the second daughter of Jacob began working part-time in her father’s factory at age 16, joining him full-time after college in 1950. Upon Jacob’s passing in 1962, The family operated as Dallas Cap & Emblem Company until 1985, re-opening as Classic Caps as it is known today. In 2015, Rosalie passed her company to Valerie Granat. Frank Rosenbloom & Valerie Granat, two of Rosalie's 7 children, continued the company, with Frank retiring in January 2021.
